Research is an elemental part of making a costume. It often takes hours of looking and learning to figure out how to make something and make it look good! All of us have to do this when constructing an outfit. If you hate research, then this hobby is certainly not for you.

The reason I have this section is because I get a lot of questions on how to make a specific costume. I wish I could answer them all but it would take me hours and hours and I just don't have that kind of free time to sit at my email.

However this doesn't mean I'm going to sit on a pile of information and hiss at people. It is unfortunate in this hobby that many costumers selfishly guard how they did something. I stand firm on attempting to help others whenever possible; respect is far more important to me than being the only one with "xyz" costume in the US. I also feel that if someone wants to build something, they are going to find out whether you help them or not. So by deliberately not helping someone, you only stand to make yourself look arrogant and egotistical.

Considering this, I have chosen to assist fellow researchers.

The links I have gathered are some good websites that offer instructions, information and insight into building costumes. I'd highly recommend visiting them in your path to research. Even if it is just photographs, it is better than nothing.

The tutorials, I will gather occasionally from websites or myself, giving credit where credit is due. Links break, people come and go. Hopefully my tutorials will stick around.
